Synopsis

Sir William Harrison’s second wife has died and his family has gathered for her funeral. With Sir William himself terminally ill, he promises that, after the funeral, he will indicate how his fortune will be disbursed among his heirs.

But a series of misheard conversations turns the occasion on its head. Plots and counter-plots are hatched to gain Sir William’s inheritance.
